abstract |
Deep learning thread communication is disclosed that can expose Application Binary Interfaces (ABIs) in a processor to enable communication of thread blocks that may correspond to individually compiled operators without storing data in global memory external to the processor. The ABI may define how the result of one computation corresponding to a first thread block is organized into the processor's registers and shared memory at the end of one operator (i.e., kernel). The start of the next operator (i.e., core) corresponding to the second thread block may use the result in the register and shared memory. Data may be stored in the processor local storage as each thread exits the block. Once published, the library can be compiled, optimized and tested separately as long as it adheres to the published ABI. |
