abstract |
The present invention provides a synthetic oligosaccharide fragment based on the terminal pentasaccharide of Bordetella pertussis lipo-oligosaccharide, and a method for obtaining the synthetic oligosaccharide fragment and its conjugate. Also provided are vaccine compositions containing such glycoconjugates that elicit an immune response that reduces nasopharyngeal colonization by B. pertussis. |
