| abstract |
A system, method and apparatus for medical data acquisition is disclosed. An exemplary portable device includes a camera configured to record an image, a memory to store the recorded image, and a display interface to display the image. The portable device also includes a processor configured to instruct the camera to record at least one image and extract medical data from the at least one image using an optical character recognition procedure. The exemplary processor is further configured to establish a connection with the clinician's computer such that the portable device is recognized by the clinician's computer as a keyboard. Further, the example processor is configured to input at least a portion of the extracted medical data as a keyboard to a clinician's computer. |
