abstract |
The present invention provides artificial nucleic acid molecules comprising novel combinations of 5' untranslated region (UTR) elements and 3' UTR elements. The nucleic acid molecules of the present invention are preferably characterized by increased expression efficiency of the coding region operably linked to the UTR element. Artificial nucleic acids can be used to treat or prevent various diseases. The present invention also provides (pharmaceutical) compositions, vaccines and kits comprising said artificial nucleic acid molecules. Furthermore, in vitro methods for preparing artificial nucleic acid molecules according to the present invention are provided. |
