The present invention relates to an autonomous VH domain (aVH) having cysteines at positions 52a and 71 or at positions 33 and 52, thereby stabilizing the autonomous VH domain. The cysteines can form disulfide bonds and/or under suitable conditions. The invention further relates to aVH libraries. |
