abstract |
An object of the present invention is to provide a hypochlorous acid aqueous solution having excellent bactericidal effect and safety. The present invention provides an antimicrobial agent, which is an aqueous solution of hypochlorous acid having a pH of 3.0 to 6.7, and the concentration of available chlorine in the aqueous solution is 50 to 260 ppm. The present invention also provides a sterilization method comprising immersing a member to be sterilized in the antimicrobial agent for 0.5 to 10 minutes. The above-mentioned antimicrobial agent has a broad antimicrobial spectrum including bacteria such as Norovirus and Staphylococcus aureus, yeasts belonging to the genus Rhododendron, and fungi such as Cladosporium cladosporium. |
