titleOfInvention A short-flow method for preparing low-oxygen and high-purity rare earth metals
abstract The invention belongs to the field of rare earth metal preparation, in particular to a short process method for preparing low oxygen and high purity rare earth metal. Using high-purity rare earth oxides as raw materials, electrolysis is carried out in a fluoride molten salt system, and rare earth metals are precipitated at the cathode and collected in a crucible. Then, the casting device of the present invention is used to periodically take out rare earth metals from the crucible, and the casting tank is filled with rare earth metals. Metal melt, lift the casting tank, quickly close the liquid injection pipe and the pumping/inflating pipe of the casting tank, and then remove the casting tank, and the low-oxygen and high-purity rare earth metal is obtained in the casting tank. The method is simple in operation, the prepared rare earth metal has low oxygen content, high purity, short technological process and low cost, and can fundamentally solve the difficult problem of low oxygen and high purity rare earth metal preparation.
