abstract The invention belongs to the technical field of functional polymer materials, and discloses a preparation method of an antibacterial and high temperature resistant copolyester. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) adding a dihydric alcohol, an aromatic dibasic carboxylic acid and a catalyst to a reaction device , the esterification reaction is carried out under the action of protective gas; the dihydric alcohol includes ethylene glycol, isosorbide and dihydroxy quaternary ammonium salt, and the aromatic dicarboxylic acid is terephthalic acid or/and p-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid formic acid; (2) polycondensing the reaction mixture obtained after the reaction in step (1) is completed under vacuum conditions to obtain an antibacterial and high temperature resistant copolyester. By adopting the method of the invention, a kind of polyester with quaternary ammonium salt ion groups grafted on the molecular chain is prepared, the polyester has excellent antibacterial performance and high temperature resistance, and it does not contain toxic and harmful components, and has lasting antibacterial performance. The antibacterial agent will not be precipitated during use, which meets the requirements of today's society for hygiene and safety, and has broad market demand and promotion and application value.
