abstract The invention relates to the technical field of cables, and discloses a high-voltage cable and a preparation method thereof, wherein the high-voltage cable comprises a polyolefin composition, and the polyolefin composition comprises the following components in parts by weight: 5-20 parts of propylene ethylene copolymer, 5-15 parts of medium density polyethylene, 5-25 parts of ethylene-octene copolymer, 20-25 parts of styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer, 2-8 parts of hydrogenated polyolefin resin, 3-5 parts of maleic anhydride, 1-2 parts of silicone powder, 10-15 parts of aluminum hydroxide, 5-10 parts of divinyl aluminum hypophosphite, 10-15 parts of melamine uric acid, 1-2 parts of antioxidant, 0.2-0.4 part of copper inhibitor, 1-2 parts of polysiloxane elastomer, 2-3 parts of silane coupling agent, 0.2-0.4 part of light stabilizer, 0.1-0.2 part of N, N' -bis (2, 6-diisopropylphenyl) carbodiimide and 0.5-2 parts of triallyl isocyanurate. Therefore, the polyolefin composition can ensure that the high-voltage cable has excellent tear resistance and hydrolysis resistance.
