titleOfInvention | RGN1 protein related to grain number per ear of rice as well as encoding gene and application thereof |
abstract | The invention discloses RGN1 protein related to grain number per ear of rice as well as a coding gene and application thereof. The present invention provides the following proteins: the amino acid sequence is shown as SEQ ID No.1 or a protein which has more than 99%, 95%, 90%, 85% or 80% homology and has the same function or a fusion protein obtained by connecting a label at the N end and/or the C end of the protein through substitution and/or deletion and/or addition of one or more amino acid residues. The RGN1 protein and the coding gene thereof provided by the invention can regulate the number of grains per spike of rice and control the generation of lateral glume flowers of the rice, and the gene can be used for improving the traits of the spike of a rice variety, thereby having important significance for breeding new rice varieties. |
