abstract The invention provides the use of carrageenan in inhibiting the adipogenic transformation of mesenchymal stem cells, belonging to the technical field of stem cells. In the present invention, carrageenan is used to treat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, and it is found that carrageenan can inhibit the mRNA expression and protein expression of the genes PPARγ and C/EBPα related to adipogenic transformation, thereby inhibiting the process of adipogenic transformation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. The number of fat droplets produced by the saccharomyces cerevisiae showed that carrageenan can inhibit the adipogenic transformation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells.
