In order to improve the fruit-preserving effect of kumquats, the present invention uniformly regulates the time, frequency and means of kumquat flower thinning, and specifies the flower thinning time and petal drop rate of each flowering. Among them, the use of external force to shake the branches and thin the flowers can be done manually, or it can be remotely operated by a plant protection drone. The optimal use of plant protection drones for flower thinning operations is more time-saving and labor-saving than manually applying external force, which greatly saves labor resources and labor costs. Through the invention, the petal drop rate of kumquat fruit trees can reach more than 80%, the fruit setting rate can be stabilized at more than 65%, and the super fruit rate can be as high as 63% or more.
