The present invention relates to fiber reinforced polycarbonate and copolycarbonate compositions with improved color stability. A thermoplastic composition comprising: 40 to 94 wt %, or 60 to 92 wt %, or 75 to 91 wt % of polycarbonate, polycarbonate copolymer, or a combination thereof; 5 to 20 wt %, or 5 to 15 wt %, or 8 to 12 wt% of fibrous reinforcement; optionally 1 to 20 ppm, or 1 to 10 ppm, or 3 to 5 ppm of phosphoric acid containing stabilizer; 0.01 to 2 wt%, or 0.02 to 1 wt%, or 0.03 to 0.5 wt% a first colorant, wherein the first colorant is free of TiO2 ; 0.05 to 0.5 wt%, or 0.1 to 0.4 wt%, or 0.1 to 0.3 wt% of an anti-drip agent; and 0.3 to 0.9 wt%, or 0.4 to 0.8 wt%, or 0.4 to 0.6 wt% of potassium perfluorobutanesulfonate, wherein the composition is free of talc, and wherein the composition is subjected to molding conditions comprising a dwell time of 600 seconds at 340°C The delta E value of the injection molded sample at a thickness of 2.5 mm is less than or equal to 3.5, or less than or equal to 3, or less than or equal to 2.8. |
