The separation unit may selectively receive at least a portion of the market fuel and convert it into an octane-rich fuel component and a cetane-rich fuel component, which may then be distributed to refueling vehicles, containing octane-rich or hexadecane-rich fuel components Fuel grade selection and retail payment for the fuel of the cetane fuel component are provided to the vehicle based on user input on the customer interface.
