abstract |
The present invention relates to a phenolic resin composition comprising: a) from about 50 to about 95 weight percent of one or more alkyl phenol-formaldehyde resins and b) from about 5 to about 50 weight percent of an antioxidant composition. The present invention also relates to a method of reducing hysteresis in phenolic resins and/or improving scorch in phenolic resins. The present invention also relates to a method for recovering by-products of the reaction between the alkyl acrylate and the alkylphenol compound. |
