abstract | A pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprising an acrylic emulsion is disclosed, the acrylic emulsion being (a) a monomer mixture comprising 50 to 99 wt % of acrylic acid 2- An emulsion polymerization product of ethylhexyl ester and 1 to 50% by weight of unsaturated monomers, (b) a surfactant, and (c) an initiator. Methods for preparing the pressure sensitive adhesive compositions are also disclosed. Also disclosed are food contact articles comprising the disclosed pressure sensitive adhesive compositions. In some embodiments, the total migration of the disclosed food contact articles is less than 25 mg/dm 2 as measured according to EN 1186, or less than 10 mg/dm 2 as measured according to EN 1186. |
