abstract |
The invention relates to a weather-resistant transparent high-heat polycarbonate copolymer composition, in particular to a thermoplastic composition comprising: a copolycarbonate comprising bisphenol A (BPA) carbonate units and 10mol% to 50mol% of A second carbonate unit of the BPA carbonate unit; a poly(carbonate-arylate) copolymer comprising BPA carbonate units and 5 mol% to 50 mol% monoaryl arylate units; and an optional BPA homopolycarbonate Esters; wherein the thermoplastic composition has at least one of: a Vicat B120 softening temperature of 155°C or higher; or a yellowness of less than 10 for a plate having a thickness of 3mm and molded at a temperature of 360°C for 5 minutes Index; alternatively, a yellowness index increase of less than 5 after 600 hours of weathering according to ISO 11341 for molded panels having a thickness of 1 mm. |
