titleOfInvention A new method for comprehensive recovery of cobalt, nickel, manganese, manganese and lithium elements from ternary battery waste
abstract The invention discloses a new method for comprehensively recovering cobalt, nickel, manganese, and lithium elements from waste materials of ternary batteries, and relates to a recycling method of waste materials of batteries. Including the waste ternary battery material powder obtained by dismantling the waste ternary battery, after acid leaching, copper removal, iron and aluminum removal, etc., the impurity removal solution is obtained, and the impurity removal solution is adjusted to the pH value of the solution with sodium hydroxide. Precipitate a mixture of cobalt hydroxide and nickel hydroxide, use sodium sulfide to sulfide and precipitate residual cobalt and nickel ions, separate manganese ions from cobalt and nickel ions, and directly precipitate manganese hydroxide to prevent manganese ions from entering the extraction process; cobalt hydroxide The nickel hydroxide mixture is dissolved in sulfuric acid, extracted to remove impurities, and cobalt and nickel are separated to obtain a pure nickel sulfate solution, precipitated with sodium hydroxide, and reversely washed three times to obtain a battery-grade nickel hydroxide product. The invention solves the problem in the prior art that recovery of cobalt, nickel and manganese elements must go through extraction and stripping process routes, resulting in high recovery cost. Through the innovative process route, most of the manganese ions are separated and removed from the nickel ions before the extraction, and the nickel hydroxide is directly precipitated after only the relevant impurities are removed by extraction without going through the extraction process of full extraction and full reverse. The method has the advantages of simple process, reduced material consumption and energy consumption, and significantly reduced production cost.
