The invention discloses PMI foam with high elongation at break and a preparation method thereof, comprising the following steps: (1) uniformly mixing 30-70 parts by weight of methacrylonitrile, 30-70 parts by weight of methacrylic acid and related auxiliaries, and stirring for dissolving; (2) adding the modified nano particles into the reaction solution, and dispersing at a high speed; (3) injecting the reaction dispersion liquid into a mold, and reacting to obtain a polymer plate; (4) heating and foaming the polymer plate to obtain the PMI foam plate with high elongation at break. Compared with the conventional foam, the poly (methyl) acrylimide foam prepared by the invention has obviously improved elongation at break and basically equivalent thermodynamic property to that before modification. |
