abstract |
A potential three-component polyurethane adhesive composition is disclosed, comprising: (a) a first polyol component comprising (i) one or more hydroxyl equivalent weights of 400 to 2000 and 2 to 4 standard hydroxy-functional polyol; (ii) one or more aliphatic diol chain extenders; (iii) 0.01 to 1 wt % of one or more based on the total weight of the first polyol component a potential room temperature organometallic catalyst; and (iv) 0.01 to 1 wt %, based on the total weight of the first polyol component, of one or more one or more capped cyclic amidine compound catalysts or a one or more phenol-terminated cyclic amidine compound catalysts; (b) a second polyol component comprising (i) one or more phenolic terminated cyclic amidine compound catalysts having a hydroxyl equivalent weight of 400 to 2000 and a nominal hydroxyl functionality of 2 to 4 (ii) one or more aliphatic diol chain extenders; (iii) 0.01 to 1 wt % of one or more latent room temperature based on the total weight of the second polyol component an organometallic catalyst; and (iv) 0.01 to 1 wt %, based on the total weight of the second polyol component, of one or more capped cyclic amidine compound catalysts or one or more phenol capped cyclic An amidine compound catalyst; and (c) an isocyanate component comprising (i) one or more isocyanate compounds; wherein the isocyanate component and the first and second polyol components are in the range of 0.5 to 2 isocyanates Exponential Contact. |
