abstract The invention discloses a Soybean Mosaic Virus (SMV) conserved fragment CFO and application of an inverted repeat vector (CFO-TIR) constructed by the same in broad-spectrum resistance of soybeans to SMV. According to the invention, 30 SMV genome sequences are subjected to multi-sequence comparison and conservative calculation for the first time, an SMV fragment CFO (nucleotide sequence is SEQ ID NO:1) with the conservative of 92% is identified, a CFO-TIR vector is constructed and is genetically transformed into an SMV susceptible soybean variety NN1138-2, the CFO-TIR vector mediates the resistance of transgenic soybean to various SMV strains, and the problem of broad-spectrum resistance of transgenic plants to SMV is solved. The transgenic material obtained by the invention has important application value for cultivating SMV broad-spectrum resistant soybeans.
