abstract The present invention provides a double coating, a curing method, a cured coating and a complete package. The first layer of the dual coat can be a first cured coating composition having a first hydroxyl functional resin, a first crosslinking agent, and a non-polar catalyst. The second layer of the second cured coating composition can have a second hydroxyl functional resin, a second crosslinking agent, and a polar catalyst. The non-polar catalyst catalyzes the crosslinking between the second hydroxyl functional resin and the crosslinking agent, but does not catalyze the crosslinking between the first hydroxyl functional resin and the crosslinking agent. The polar catalyst catalyzes the crosslinking between the first hydroxyl functional resin and the crosslinking agent, but does not catalyze the crosslinking between the second hydroxyl functional resin and the crosslinking agent. The polarity of the catalyst can facilitate the migration of the catalyst from one layer to another. The separate composition may be storage stable and/or curable at low temperatures.
