abstract | The invention discloses a strawberry maturation associated transcription factor gene FaNAC2 and application thereof. The invention clones a new gene FaNAC2, and discovers for the first time that the strawberry FaNAC2 gene can negatively regulate strawberry fruit ripening and is related to the key gene expression of abscisic acid signal pathway. Inhibition of FaNAC2 expression in strawberry fruits accelerates the fruit ripening process. Therefore, the gene can be reasonably utilized to adjust the marketing time of the fruits of the late-maturing strawberry variety, so that the production service of the strawberry is provided. The invention provides theoretical basis and technical means for regulating the fruit ripening process by utilizing the genetic engineering technology, thereby having great application value in regulating the marketing time of the late-maturing variety fruits of strawberries. |
