titleOfInvention | Methods and systems for correlating physical and genetic properties of biological particles |
abstract | Provided herein are methods and systems for processing nucleic acid molecules from biological particles (eg, cells). Multiple distribution zones (eg, droplets) can be created such that each of the multiple distribution zones includes biological particles (eg, cells) and particles (eg, beads) comprising nucleic acid molecules. The distribution regions can be processed (eg, imaged) to obtain one or more physical and/or optical properties of their corresponding biological particles. Nucleic acid molecules included in the distribution zone can be barcoded and sequenced (eg, using nucleic acid barcode molecules coupled to particles of the distribution zone) to generate nucleic acid sequences of the nucleic acid molecules. The nucleic acid sequence can be electronically associated with one or more optical properties of the biological particle. |
