abstract | The present invention provides a powder cosmetic that is excellent in long-lasting properties, makeup appearance, and usability, maintains hiding power, and is excellent in the function of transmitting light in a long-wavelength region (red light selective transmission function). Powder cosmetics are characterized by containing: 1 to 30% by mass of titanium dioxide powder having an apparent average particle diameter of 100 nm to less than 500 nm and an average crystallite diameter of 15 nm as measured by X-ray diffraction. Particles with a specific surface area of ∼30 nm, a specific surface area of 10 to 30 m 2 /g, and a shape formed by agglomeration of needle-like protrusions protruding radially, and the ratio of the minor axis to the major axis (major axis/short axis) of the shape is 1.0 ~2.5; and 0.1~10% by mass of hydrophobized zinc oxide. |
