titleOfInvention Endoluminal stent graft fixation
abstract Endoluminal stent graft devices are described herein having integrated anchoring members that can be selectively deployed in situ. Deployment of the anchor members is also reversible, thereby facilitating retrieval of the stent graft device. These stent graft devices are well suited for sealing and repairing defects in the body lumen wall. These defects may include, but are not limited to, aneurysms and luminal wall openings. In some embodiments, the intraluminal stent graft devices provided herein are well suited for use in the gastrointestinal tract, including the colon. This is because the integrated anchor member provides the stent graft device with a high level of migration resistance, whereby the stent graft remains resiliently positioned in a desired location within the gastrointestinal tract, even if the gastrointestinal tract undergoes peristaltic motion.
