abstract |
Formulations for providing active agents are disclosed. The formulation includes a carrier comprising an active agent and mineral-coated microparticles, wherein the active agent is adsorbed to the mineral. Other formulations include carriers comprising mineral-coated microparticles, wherein the mineral-coated microparticles contain an active agent. Also disclosed are methods of sustained delivery of active agents and methods of treating inflammatory diseases using formulations that provide sustained delivery of active agents. |
