abstract The present invention relates to a transporter encoding gene and a method for efficiently producing L-tryptophan using a strain containing the gene. Specifically, by heterologously expressing the ywkB gene from Bacillus subtilis on the genome of E. coli, the L-tryptophan production efficiency of the strain can be enhanced, and the use of this strain for shake flask fermentation can accumulate L-tryptophan 15.2 g/g in 24 hours. L, increased by 35% compared to the control strain.
