titleOfInvention | Sequentially switched bulk acoustic wave (BAW) delay line circulator |
abstract | Disclosed herein is a sequentially switched bulk acoustic wave (BAW) delay line circulator. Circulator circuits are implemented using semiconductor components to provide a compact, low-cost solution for simultaneous signal transmission and reception via a single antenna. For example, the circulator circuit may include a transmit (TX) port, a receive (RX) port, and an antenna port. Antenna switching circuitry selectively couples the antenna ports to two or more BAW delay lines, and TX/RX switching circuitry selectively couples the BAW delay lines to either the TX port or the RX port. The BAW delay line acts as a memory to store the TX and RX signals long enough to sequentially switch the antenna switching circuit, TX switch and RX switch and route the TX signal from the TX port to the antenna port and route the RX signal from the antenna port to the RX port. |
