abstract |
The present invention discloses an ink composition comprising one or more volatile organic solvents and one or more colorants. The ink composition includes a binder resin having one or more polymers and a metal crosslinking agent for crosslinking the polymer of the binder resin. The one or more polymers contain coordinating groups for crosslinking the polymer of the primary binder resin with the metal crosslinking agent. The ink compositions can be used in ink jet printing, such as continuous ink jet printing, and can be suitable for producing durable codes on substrates that undergo industrial retort and sterilization processes. The ink also provides the thermal stability and reliability of the printer. |
