abstract | The invention discloses a novel bi-specific protective antibody consisting of two anthrax non-protective antibodies, wherein variable regions of a heavy chain and a light chain of the antibody are respectively formed by connecting variable regions of two different epitopes of an anti-anthrax bacillus PA antigen in series, and the variable regions of the heavy chain and the light chain have unique CDR regions. The bispecific antibody provided by the invention introduces a new neutralization mechanism through screening and combination of parent antibodies, has furin enzyme PA83 inhibitory activity and LF cleavage MEK inhibitory activity which are concentration-dependent, has more obvious antibody neutralization activity and animal protection rate than the parent antibodies used singly or in a mixed way, and shows good application prospect in preparing drugs for treating and/or preventing Bacillus anthracis infectious diseases. |
