abstract | the invention provides a dimmable LED drive circuit and a control method thereof, wherein the circuit comprises: the LED light source comprises a silicon controlled dimmer, a discharge current discharging circuit and an LED circuit; the leakage current circuit provides current required by the silicon controlled dimmer when the input voltage does not reach the conduction voltage of the LED circuit; it is characterized by also comprising: the thyristor cut wave angle detection circuit and the discharge current control circuit; after the silicon controlled rectifier dimmer is switched on, the silicon controlled rectifier cut wave angle detection circuit acquires a first electrical parameter signal representing the silicon controlled rectifier cut wave angle; the bleeder current control circuit compares the first electrical parameter signal to a first threshold to control the bleeder current circuit. In addition, an output current compensation circuit is added for comparing the electrical parameter signal with a second threshold value to control the current of the LED circuit. |
