titleOfInvention | The preparation method of acetic acid |
abstract | The present invention provides a method for producing acetic acid having a step of separating methyl iodide from a solution after absorbing methyl iodide, wherein the step includes an absorption step capable of efficiently separating methyl iodide while realizing energy saving. The production method of acetic acid according to the present invention includes an absorption step in the production process of acetic acid. In this absorption process, at least a part of the waste gas generated in the process is supplied to an absorption tower, and it is mixed with an organic acid containing an organic acid having a boiling point higher than that of acetic acid. The iodine compound in the exhaust gas is absorbed in the absorbent by contacting the absorbent, and is separated into a gas component having a lower iodine compound concentration than the exhaust gas, and a solution containing the absorbent and the iodine compound. |
