titleOfInvention | Aqueous transparent ink composition |
abstract | An aqueous ink composition comprising water; optionally a co-solvent; a sulfonated polyester, wherein the sulfonated polyester has a degree of sulfonation of at least about 3.5 mol%; and isoprene rubber. A digital offset printing process comprising applying an ink composition to a surface of a reimageable imaging member at an ink pickup temperature, the reimageable imaging member having a fountain solution disposed thereon; forming an ink image; transferring the ink image from the reimageable surface of the imaging member to the printable substrate at an ink transfer temperature; wherein the ink composition comprises water; optionally a co-solvent; a sulfonated polyester having a degree of sulfonation of at least about 3.5 mol%; and isoprene rubber. A method comprising combining a sulfonated polyester resin having a degree of sulfonation of at least about 3.5 mol%, water, an optional co-solvent, and an isoprene rubber to form an aqueous ink composition, wherein the ink composition is substantially colorless. |
