The present application provides a magnesium-sulfur secondary battery 20, which is equipped with a positive electrode 23, an electrolyte layer 24A, and a negative electrode composed of a laminated structure formed by laminating a positive electrode active material layer 23A containing sulfur or a sulfur compound and a carbon material layer 23B. 25.
