titleOfInvention | The preparation method of acetic acid |
abstract | The present invention provides a method capable of effectively preventing local corrosion of a process unit and/or a circuit wall, and capable of reducing the concentration of formic acid in a product acetic acid, and a method for preparing acetic acid. The present invention utilizes a process comprising the following steps to prepare acetic acid: (1) a carbonylation reaction step for reacting methanol and carbon monoxide in the presence of a catalytic system comprising a metal catalyst and methyl iodide, and acetic acid, methyl acetate, and water and (A) using more than 1 evaporation tank and/or distillation column to separate a catalyst-containing stream, an acetic acid-enriched acetic acid stream, and the resulting mixture from the reaction mixture obtained in the carbonylation reaction step. The acetic acid stream is described as a separation process for a stream that is more enriched in low-boiling components than the acetic acid stream. In this method, (a) the oxygen concentration in the gas phase of the process is controlled to be less than 7% by volume, and/or (b) the oxygen concentration in the liquid phase of the process is controlled to be less than 7× 10-5 g /g, the oxygen concentration is controlled, and further, the formic acid concentration in the liquid phase of the process is controlled to be 500 mass ppm or less, thereby suppressing the generation of iodine and/or formic acid. |
