titleOfInvention | Application of protein OrC1 in regulating rice paddle tip and awn color |
abstract | The invention discloses the application of protein OrC1 in regulating the color of rice paddle tip and awn. The OrC1 gene was introduced into the rice variety Nipponbare to obtain the T 0 generation OrC1 gene transgenic rice; then three consecutive generations of selfing were performed to obtain the T 3 generation homozygous OrC1 gene transgenic rice. The leaf sheaths of the rice variety Nipponbare plants grown to 10 days are green; the leaf sheaths of the T 3 generation homozygous transgenic OrC1 gene rice plants grown to 10 days are purple. The rice cultivar Nipponbare plants at the milk-ripening stage and the wax-ripening stage have white tips; the T 3 generation homozygous transgenic OrC1 rice plants at the milk-ripening stage and the wax-ripening stage have purple tips. The awns of Nipponbare, a rice variety at the wax-ripening stage, are yellow; the T 3 generation homozygous transgenic OrC1 gene rice plants at the wax-ripening stage have purple awns. It can be seen that the protein OrC1 plays an important role in regulating the color of rice paddle tip, awn and leaf sheath. The invention has important application value. |
