abstract The invention relates to a method for preparing a hollow core-shell structure Fe 2 O 3 @PPy composite material and its application in supercapacitors, belonging to the technical field of supercapacitors. MnO 2 nanotubes were prepared first, and Fe 2 O 3 nanotubes were obtained through oxidation-reduction reaction using MnO 2 nanotubes as a template, and then a layer of conductive PPy was evenly coated on Fe 2 O 3 nanotubes by chemical oxidation polymerization to obtain Fe 2 O 3 @PPy nanotubular composites with hollow core-shell structure. This composite exhibits excellent electrochemical performance when used as the anode of a supercapacitor, with a high areal specific capacitance of 530 mF/cm ‑2 .
