Oxidative dehydrogenation is an alternative to the energy-intensive steam cracking process currently used to produce olefins from paraffins, but has not been commercialized partly because of the instability of hydrocarbon/oxygen mixtures and partly because of the costs involved in constructing new facilities implement. The present invention describes an oxidative dehydrogenation chemical complex designed to reduce costs by including an integrated oxygen separation module, which also addresses safety issues and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. |
