abstract |
The present invention relates to internal combustion engines and methods for reducing nitrogen oxide emissions. The internal combustion engine comprises at least two cylinders (2). Each of the two cylinders comprises a combustion chamber (3) and has an inlet for fuel and an outlet (5) with an outlet valve (6) for exhaust gases. The engine comprises at least one separating device (7) downstream of the combustion chamber (3) for separating the exhaust gases of all the combustion chambers (3) into a first and a second exhaust gas flow. The first discharge line (8) and the second discharge line (9) are connected to at least one separating device (7). The at least one separating device (7) is configured to divide the exhaust gas from the combustion chamber (3) into a first gas flow for the first component discharge line (8) and a second gas flow for the second component discharge line (9). Two streams. |
