titleOfInvention | Hypromellose phthalate and preparation method thereof |
abstract | Provided is a method for producing hypromellose phthalate (HPMCP) which exhibits excellent solubility when dissolved in a solvent while suppressing the formation of insoluble matter. More specifically, a method for preparing HPMCP is provided, comprising: esterifying hypromellose dissolved in glacial acetic acid with phthalic anhydride at a temperature of 75 to 100° C. in the presence of sodium acetate, an esterification step to obtain a reaction product solution; a cooling step to cool the reaction product solution to 70° C. or lower; and a precipitation step to mix the cooled reaction product solution with water at 0 to 40° C. to obtain a precipitated HPMCP suspension . |
