abstract | The invention discloses the application of acetylshikonin in the preparation of drugs for preventing and treating colon cancer. The present invention verifies that acetylshikonin plays a significant role in the prevention and treatment of colon cancer by targeting TOPK on human colon cancer cell lines. The inventors treated colon cancer cell lines and TOPK-overexpressed human colon cancer PDX mouse models with acetylshikonin. At the end of the experiment, they found that acetylshikonin could inhibit the growth of colon cancer cells. Acetylshikonin drug treatment Compared with the control group, the tumor volume of mice in the control group has a significant statistical difference, thus showing that acetylshikonin has a significant effect on the prevention and treatment of colon cancer through TOPK. Colon cancer with high expression of TOPK can be prevented and treated clinically by giving acetylshikonin to patients. The acetylshikonin of the present invention can target the kinase TOPK, and is applicable not only to colon cancer but also to other cancers. |
