abstract |
The present invention describes methods and apparatus for end effector control and calibration. The method may include detecting a signal in response to movement of a first tube relative to a second tube that drives movement of a gripping arm of the end effector. The method may also include determining a gripping arm position of the end effector relative to the ultrasonic blade of the end effector based on the signal. The method may also include adjusting the power output of the ultrasonic blade to the end effector based on the clamp arm position. |
