abstract |
The present invention relates to a control unit of a data storage system and a method for updating a logical-to-physical mapping table, using at least two buffers. The first register is used to dynamically maintain a physical-to-logical mapping table (F2H). The physical-to-logical mapping table records a mapping relationship from a physical address to a logical address of a user data in a target block. The control unit reversely converts the mapping relationship to obtain a reverse record, and selects a target logical-to-physical mapping sub-table according to a logical address of the reverse record. The second register is used for buffering the target logical-to-physical mapping sub-table read from a host-side register (HMB). The control unit updates the target logical-to-physical mapping sub-table according to the reverse record. |
