abstract The liquid processing apparatus includes a processing tank, a liquid introduction port, a discharge portion, a first electrode, a second electrode, and a power source. The liquid introduction port is arranged on the first end side of the processing tank, and by introducing the liquid into the processing tank from the tangential direction of the processing tank, the liquid is swirled in the processing tank, and a gas phase is generated in the swirling flow of the liquid. The first electrode is rod-shaped, and is disposed at the first end on the central axis of the processing tank. The second electrode is arranged so as to be exposed at the discharge portion of the processing tank. A voltage is applied between the first electrode and the second electrode, thereby generating plasma in the gas phase.
