abstract |
This article describes an automated system for inactivating target compounds from a slide stainer waste stream using an advanced oxidation process. The advanced oxidation process is facilitated by UV irradiation and further accelerated by the use of free radical initiators such as hydrogen peroxide. The automated system also includes a mechanism for separating components of the waste stream. |
