abstract |
A device includes a stent framework supporting a patch on its inner surface. The device can be used to create new valves in a minimally invasive percutaneous manner. Exemplary methods include implanting a device, allowing a growth layer to form over at least a portion of the patch, and separating the patch from the stent backbone, thereby forming slits or gaps in the vessel wall to function as a valve similar to a surgical new valve. |
