Methods are provided for growing plants under certain stress conditions, which alter the morphology of the plants. However, in certain aspects, although the plants are altered and may not be desired for commercial purposes, the plants still produce seeds in sufficient quantities for propagation purposes. Furthermore, due to the smaller size of plants, they can be grown at higher densities, enabling the production of large flora under controlled conditions, which can exclude pollinating insects and thus increase the genetic purity achievable in breeding programs. |
