The invention provides a mutagenic saccharomyces cerevisiae strain for high-yield astaxanthin, the astaxanthin yield of the mutagenic strain is obviously improved relative to that of a starting strain, wherein the astaxanthin yield of shake-flask fermentation is improved by 3.98 times and reaches 65.93mg/L, and the proportion of astaxanthin in carotenoid is improved by 1.48 times and reaches 68.56%. And the maximum astaxanthin yield in a 5L fermentation tank reaches 404.78mg/L through optimizing the fermentation process conditions.
