abstract |
A reaction system for forming a step-growth polymerized sulfur-containing polyester polyol comprising: at least one sulfur-containing component selected from the group of sulfur-containing polyols or sulfur-containing polycarboxylic acids, said at least one sulfur-containing The amount of the component is 1wt% to 60wt%; at least one aromatic component selected from the group of aromatic polyfunctional esters, aromatic polyfunctional carboxylic acids and aromatic anhydrides, the at least one aromatic component an amount of 1 wt% to 60 wt%; at least one simple polyol excluding sulfur and different from said sulfur-containing polyol, said at least one simple polyol being present in an amount of 0 wt% to 60 wt%; and at least one polymeric catalyst.
